On Wednesday 25th March we will welcome 17 teachers to Kilrea from Spain, Italy, Germany and Slovakia. While they are here they will have the opportunity to visit the school and surrounding area and find out a little of what life is like in Northern Ireland. The teachers will be entertained by the pupils in song and dance and then the children will have the opportunity to interview the teachers about life in their countries.
As our project is entitled Preserving Our Worlds we will also be visiting an organic dairy farm and a local cottage which has been preserved in its original style. We also hope to plant some trees in the school grounds so that many years from now we will still have a reminder of our European friends.
